The hotel did not have any more available double rooms available, so I ended up in a massive room of our own with a king bed
My friends & I were so proud that we qualified for the state championship this year. Our high school basketball team was the first to qualify for the state championship in the area in the past 150 years. All of us had to drive 3 hours to get to the distant location where the game was held. Our school paid for everyone to have a room stay in a hotel. All of us were each assigned to a room & a roommate, and there was to chaperone on every floor. I got stuck with the team mascot in my room, but it all worked out. It was a random draw, so I can’t be too aggravated. All of us didn’t originally agree on the indoor un-even temperatures, however realizing that I was the star of the team, at least he let me set the heating system to any temperature that I prefered! During the middle of our first night in the hotel, the heating system started abruptly sparking & sputtering. I could see some fire sparks shooting out next to the compressor. I woke up our bunkmate & the two of us quickly called for help. They called the front desk to make a complaint about the heating conditions. A lot of these cheap hotels do not have wonderful heaters, but this was ridiculous. Then, my bunkmate & I got moved to a weird room so the HVAC repair crew could check into the heating system issue. The hotel did not have any more available double rooms available, so I ended up in a massive room of our own with a king bed. I wasn’t undoubtedly unhappy that the in suite heating system had problems.
