My favorite local gym is fully reopened at last

I’m just happy that they’re not bullying you into an annual gym membership like many of these places used to do when we didn’t have a global pandemic

It’s hard forcing yourself to get active when you work a sedentary job that doesn’t even require leaving the house everyday. Now that I do most of my shopping online or through store delivery services, I am quickly turning into a total hermit. I bought a mountain bike to take on local hiking trails, but I have only used it a few times since I got it. It makes me wonder why I would waste the money on something like this if I’m not even going to make use of it in the short term. Taking my dog on walks is probably the only thing that is keeping me semi-active right now. I like going for walks in the evening hours because the temperatures are much cooler and I feel like I have a lot more endurance compared to walking in the blazing afternoon sun. As I got in shape a little, I noticed that my favorite local gym from before is fully reopened again. I walked inside and filled out paperwork to start my new gym membership. Thankfully my local gym is now offering month-to-month gym memberships to compete with other gyms and local YMCAs in various communities. Their prices aren’t exactly cheaper, but I realize that these gyms and fitness centers need to make their money somehow. I’m just happy that they’re not bullying you into an annual gym membership like many of these places used to do when we didn’t have a global pandemic. After signing the paperwork for the gym membership, I spent a few minutes on the treadmill before heading to work.
