Along with a heating tune-up for our central heating unit, my neighbor is going to do some writing with myself and others tonight because she is interested in trying out stand-up comedy.
I think that comedy is not for everyone, but for those who try it out, it can be an addiction that gets a strong hold on you & won’t let you go.
I’ve been doing standup for 17 years ever since leaving the Heating & Air Conditioning industry when I was 38 years old & it has taken myself and others all over the world for some pretty cool experiences & memories. I have a lot of my sets recorded & saved on SoundCloud & I sometimes listen to them when I need a laugh. I believe my heating tech neighbor could do very well in comedy because she has a natural funny way about him & is not afraid of talking in front of crowds as she was a salesman & had to speak in front of people at Heating & Air Conditioning seminars & meetings. I was a bit more worried to go on phase so I took a standup comedy course in my neighborhood to help myself and others get used to talking in front of others. I also do some Heating & Air Conditioning seminars now for the industry & incorporate some humor into my speeches while talking about boring things such as heat pumps & heat strips. I believe you can make anything funny if your mind thinks that way. So tonight should be an interesting night with the Heating & Air Conditioning pro & hopefully the two of us come up with some new material.
