When trying to make the right choice to replace our old boiler system, I decided to have an Heating & A/C professional come out for a free consultation.
This guy was certainly knowledgeable, especially when it came to boiler systems. He also asked me how old our water heating system was, however I was pretty sure it was about 15 years old. The people I was with and I had great water plus every one of us did have the anode replaced some 5 years ago or so. The professionals then said that would extend the life of the water heating system by a great amount. Then this Heating & A/C professional told me that I wouldn’t even need to replace that old water heating system if I decided to upgrade to a combi boiler system. He said the current systems were super energy efficient, built with quality materials such as cast iron, plus they were known to last as long as 40 years or better. He said they had warranties that went up to 25 years, which I thought sounded pretty amazing. When I got a free quote for a current combi boiler replacement, I was ecstatic with the price. I was thinking it was worth the cost just to replace the old water heater, that would be 1 less thing to worry about! After I had our current combi boiler installed, I was certainly content with how well the tepid water worked in the home plus the heating worked fantastic when every one of us tested that out. There was 1 last thing the professional wanted to ask me about, plus that was if I was interested in going for an Heating & A/C maintenance plan. He said they would come out properly to do tune-ups on our heating plan plus take care of proper maintenance plus repairs for cheap. I decided to go for it, because I want to protect our investment!
