Carl brought on board a new specialist two months ago and he’s already had several grievances about the guy.

Carl actually thought he was going to be amazing.

He had high hopes for this Heating & A/C repair specialist with lots of experience in commercial and residential jobs. The specialist had wonderful letters of recommendation and Carl was impressed with his job history. The guy has 8 years of experience working on heating & A/C related jobs. It’s just sad that the guy has a bad attitude. Carl had 3 complaints this week from homeowners expressing their grievances about this specialist. They said he was unfriendly. Friendliness is a big deal in this industry due to the fact that they have to interact with homeowners. If they don’t hire them again, there’s no repeat business which would hurt the business. There are plenty of HVAC repair services and Carl wants homeowners to call him first. After he got the first complaint about the guy’s attitude, Carl called him into the office and had a discussion about being friendly. The guy seemed to understand what Carl was saying, however two days later Carl got the same grievance from another homeowner. He had to fix the matter, so that was the last time that Carl sent the guy to any jobs. He has an up and coming business, so it’s important to remain in the good books of homeowners. Carl has no room on his staff for a guy that can’t smile and interact.
