The only chop I get from the heat is while in lunch

I started laboring with my dad when I was 17 years old, then my dad was a supplier and she needed someone to help out on the job site.

I started while in the summer time of the year that I became a junior; During the summer time weeks, I went to the job arena with my dad and I did whatever she needed, but sometimes I picked up trash like boards, nails, and pieces of drywall. Sometimes I took the truck and went to town for parts, coffee, or snacks. I pretty much did whatever my dad told myself and others to do. I didn’t mind the toil and my Dad paid myself and others a small amount hourly, so I had cash for my car, gas, and dating. When I turned eighteen, I started laboring for the company full time. Things truly changed at that point, because I was getting paid like a proper worker. The only time I got to take a chop from the heat was while in lunch. It was over 90° every single morning that I worked. We didn’t have AC on the jobsite, but there was always someone with a truck running at lunch time. A bunch of us would pile into the truck and sit in the AC while we ate lunch. It was crowded, but everyone was cool. I never had to eat by myself and I never had to sit outside in the heat. I’m sure some of that was due to the fact that my dad was the boss, however I also worked truly hard when I was on the clock.
