I didn’t want to stay at labor late on Sunday evening, but my boss gave to pay everyone overtime and buy pizzas for breakfast the next weekend.
Every one of us were having a state inspection and all of the paperwork needed to be filed and completed.
Every one of us were making sure that all of the t’s were crossed and all of the I’s were dotted. It’s tedious work, but someone needed to stay to make sure that it was done, however a few of my co-workers and I gave to complete the paperwork, then my boss left at 7 p.m. and the various of us were there by ourselves to complete the work. I thought the boss was going to stay with us and I was pretty aggravated when he went home… None of us went home at dinner time so every one of us could help him with the paperwork and he left early to be with his family. I was already frustrated when the boss left. When the AC in the split room stopped blowing frigid air, I wasn’t going to stand there any longer. I tried to tap the a/c lightly and I turned all of the buttons on and off. I even gently kicked the a/c, but nothing seemed to work. I told my co-workers that I wasn’t going to stay one minute longer. They agreed that it was terrible circumstances. The AC wasn’t laboring and the boss wasn’t even there to help. Everything was dropped into our lap and it certainly wasn’t our responsibility to make sure that the paperwork was completed for the state inspection.
