Ways to protect your air conditioning component from the ice

If you live in the northern states, or actually any location that gets chilly easily, then you might be wondering how to protect your HVAC system.

A lot of times, people end up having issues with protecting their Heating and Air Conditioning machines from ice and snow.

I guess I had issues with snow and ice getting into the heating and a/c when I first moved here from the south. I was not prepared for these kinds of issues! However, there are a couple of ways that help prevent ice and snow from getting inside the Heating and Air Conditioning component and preventing mangle from occurring. One of the ways is getting an Heating and Air Conditioning cover, which is actually what I did. If you get a HVAC cover, it will cover the top of the Heating and Air Conditioning machine, or sporadically more, to prevent the snow and ice from building up. Now you have to be careful on what kind you buy, and you have to make sure that it is still breathable, otherwise it could cause mangle or even destroy your system. Another way to prevent snow and ice, is to get a fence around the HVAC unit. A fence not only helps cover the oil furnace and air conditioning up, but having the fence around it is actually attractive to some people who consider the heating component an eyesore. So if you are having issues with ice and snow, you can try these methods. These are the methods that I have tried, and they labor pretty well for me.
