My little one wanted to enter a BBQ cookoff last year.
She had been making her own BBQ sauces for quite a few years now, and she wanted to showcase some of them and maybe get a vendor to sell them for her. What better way to introduce her homemade BBQ sauces, than to enter a BBQ cookoff and use them on her meats? Before she could enter the BBQ cookoff, she needed a portable kitchen space where she could do all her prep and create her wonderful sides. My buddy and I looked at numerous websites that featured portable kitchen spaces, however they were so extravagant, it was prohibitive. I asked if she had thought to call the local rental companies. I was pretty certain she could get a portable kitchen space from one of them, although she was out of luck. I remembered a friend who had a friend that used a portable kitchen space at the local country fair each and every year. I called her to see if it would be possible for my youngster to rent the portable kitchen space for the weekend long BBQ cook off. Two mornings later, she not only procured the portable kitchen space, however her friend provided to help her with cooking and prep. She was looking for anything for her time however to be a part of the winning team. She tasted all of my little one’s bbq sauces and said she would be pleased to rent her time and the portable kitchen space to her whenever she had another bbq cookoff to go to. She didn’t win the first BBQ cookoff, although she came in second place. I actually know she may be a contender to get someone who will sell her BBQ sauces.
