We hired new employees last month and we have already had several complaints about the ladies.
We thought they were going to work out.
We had high hopes for the veteran Heating and A/C repair workers with lots of experience in commercial and residential repairs. They had good letters of recommendation and we were impressed with their work history. The ladies have 5 years of experience working on heating and AC related repairs. Unfortunately, they aren’t friendly. We had several complaints this week from customers. Each complaint was relatively the same. They complained about the ladies’ attitude. Attitude is a big deal in this industry due to the fact that we have to service our customers. If they don’t call back, we don’t get repeat service and that means that our sales will be in the toilet. There are a lot of heating and air conditioner repair services and we want customers to call us first. After we got the first complaint about the ladies’ attitude, we called them into the office and had a talk about being more personable. The ladies’ seemed to understand what we were saying. But the next day we got many complaints from additional customers. We had to fix the problem, so that was the last time that we sent the ladies’ out to work for us. We have a small business and it is pressing that all of the employees work hard and are nice to the customers. We have no room on our staff for a ladies’ that can’t smile and be nice.
