What is the correct temperature this winter

Wintertide can truly be unpredictable, in addition to the season can truly take a toll on us, however if you live in a state that gets a lot of snow, it can be strenuous to do everyday tasks if there is too much snow outside, then and if you have ever dug out a motorcar from the snow, you would understand how daunting that task can be.

  • Hence the reason, I have chosen to live in the Southern part of the country, then during the Winter, the people I was with and I don’t get any snow in addition to thankfully, the season is usually mild.

Inside our house is also comfortable in addition to oftentimes, I barely use our central heating. During most of the Wintertide the temperature in our house usually fluctuates between 65 in addition to 69 degrees. There are times when it does drop down into the high 50s or lower 60s. Although rare, those are the times where our central heating unit kicks in. I have the thermostat set on the recommended temperature from the U.S. Department of Energy. According to the organization, the ideal temperature for the thermostat is 72 degrees when you are home. So, if I am having a mild Wintertide season, it means that our central heating barely kicks in. Because I don’t use our central heating a lot while in the colder part of the year, it means that I see a sizable saving on our energy bill. However, while in the Summer, our central air conditioning runs every afternoon. So, however I save on energy bills while in the Winter, that savings is used to cover the cost of cooling our lake house in the Summer.
