My uncle left myself and others a 10 unit loft building.
I have had the loft building for the last 4 years. The loft building was making money for a while, however there are a lot of repairs that need to be completed & I don’t suppose the first thing about making those repairs. I had a building manager working for myself and others that was handling a lot of the troubles. I found out that she was stealing from the supplier instead of making repairs to the boiler in the basement. As far as I knew, the boiler in the basement was replaced last year. I sent a check for $12,000 to the loft building supervisor so she could pay for the repairs & the new boiler. I live about 600 miles away, so I trusted the building supervisor. After all, the woman was in charge when our uncle left myself and others the building & I figured that she was someone that I could trust. I was wrong to trust the woman & she made myself and others look prefer a fool… Part of that was our fault for being so trusting. When I realized that none of the repairs had been made, I was stuck in a hard locale. All of these repairs have to be made in order for the building to remain open. I am trying to sell the building, however nobody wants to buy the loft building unless the boiler is replaced. That’s 1 thing that nobody wants to deal with & I can see why. It’s going to cost another $12,000 check to get the commercial boiler installed & permitted.
