Can you please help me a little?

Last month, I had my furnace inspected prior to the beginning of winter.

We had had little cool weather yet, but it was almost the end of October and we knew it was on its way.

When the HVAC technician showed up to do the inspection, he told me that our furnace could not be repaired. I just shook my head and said there wasn’t any way we could purchase a new furnace. I talked to my wife about forgoing Christmas gifts and purchasing the new furnace. Our children were still small and for Santa to not come on Christmas Eve was going to be devastating. I asked if she would mind if we didn’t exchange gifts for us. It would give us some money to use as a down payment if the HVAC company would allow us to make payments. I called the HVAC company and asked if they could please help me a little? I explained the situation and asked if there was some way we could make payments on a new furnace. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold for quite some time. When someone came back on the phone, it was the owner of the company. He asked how I was doing and what he could help me with. I explained to him about the down-payment and possible payments? He offered to have the furnace installed the following week, and my first payment would be due the first of February, which should help us to have a good Christmas. He wished us a Merry Christmas and sent a HVAC tech to the house, so we could choose our new furnace
