For years my sibling had been bugging me to replace my control unit.
I never gave him a clear reason on why I didn’t want to replace.
Now looking back, I should have rather than brush him off. As a birthday gift he got me a smart control unit. I had to act all happy plus surprised. I told him that I would have the smart control component installed instantly, but so here is the snag, I don’t have internet. In order for a smart control component to work, it needs Wi-Fi. The control component can be run through Wi-Fi with any smart product love a phone, computer or iPad… You can control the heating, a/c, humidity, fan speed plus a whole mess of things right from an app. The beauty of a smart control component is hands free plus the convenience of increasing the Heating in addition to A/C settings from anywhere. In theory I should be able to change the AC to turn on while I am at work. The control component could also scan for my presence plus see me home. Then it will turn on. The control component should also let me guess polluted indoor air conditions plus air filter swings! Right now my control component can’t do anything. It is love a basic dial control component that I run by hand. I need to get internet now but I don’t want it. Without any internet, my control component is totally worthless. So my sibling’s gift is going to cost me time, effort plus currency. I can’t tell him that I don’t want his gift though. I now need to pretend it was a nice thing.
