For the past five years, I have had the same tattered and worn labor uniforms.
I have five pairs of uniform pants and I also have five short and five long sleeve shirts, however periodically during the Wintertide season, I wear a short and a long sleeve shirt.
The uniforms used to fit definitely well, but I have lost some weight in the past year. I decided to start a vegetarian diet. I gave up steak, chicken, pork, and fish. I took off 30 lbs very hastily and my uniforms started to look bad. I told my boss that I needed current uniforms, but it took several weeks to get them. The current uniforms finally came to the store this afternoon and I changed as soon as I got to work. The current uniforms said much better. The shirt is tighter and I don’t have to wear a belt with the pants. The last time I diagnosed an air conditioner repair, I almost lost my pants in front of the customer. It would have been terribly embarrassing to show my underwear in the middle of an air conditioner maintenance task. My boss only gave me several pairs of pants and several short sleeve shirts, so I have to be careful when I am working on heating and a/c repairs. Periodically I end up with the grease and dirt on my clothes. I’m going to need to use a stain detachr in the laundry, so these uniforms will last a long time. It took several weeks to get several current uniforms for the heating and a/c shops. It might take a year to get another a single.
