When my wife and I were looking at different houses to buy, we didn’t really like anything that we came across.
- We felt most of the houses were too close to neighbors and we wanted a place that had more privacy.
We finally started looking at more rural locations, and we found this property that was absolutely amazing. The thing that was so great is the fact that it was on a couple of acres of land and there weren’t any closeby neighbors. It was a very private setting and we could do whatever we wanted with the land like gardening or even raising chickens if we wanted. The only thing is, there were things that needed to be fixed in the home. There actually was no A/C system, just a few window A/C units in some of the rooms. There was a fireplace though and there also was a gas furnace. The gas furnace was a little bit aged, but I figured we could just have it inspected by the HVAC company. I wanted to do something about the A/C situation though. We ended up buying the place, and I decided to invest in a ductless mini-split HVAC system. We had multiple zones for the ductless HVAC and the HVAC workers strategically placed all of the indoor units. I am actually really pleased with the ductless mini-split. We actually can heat and cool our home with these HVAC units, and they are extremely energy efficient! We actually don’t even have to use the gas furnace, though I feel it’s nice to have multi sources of heating for our home like the fireplace, gas furnace, and the ductless mini-split HVAC.
