I was absolutely gleeful to get away for the weekend for a friend’s ceremony… A week before the ceremony, the weather channel predicted sunny skies plus 75 degree weather.
75 degrees was a wonderful temperature for an outdoor ceremony plus I packed accordingly, then the day before the ceremony though, I saw black clouds start to roll in plus shortly after, there was heavy rain, when I turned on the weather channel to see when the rain was predicted to stop, I saw exhausting news! Unfortunately, the rain plus low hot plus cold temperatures were there to stay for the next 2 days… I was worried because I’d packed a dress for 75 degree hot plus cold temperatures plus sunny skies. I made the mistake of not packing a backup opening for the ceremony. I got dressed plus prayed that there would be heat in the tents outside. When I pulled up to the ceremony site, I didn’t see any gas furnaces or any contraptions plus I began to panic. I thought I’d have to freeze! As I was being seated for the ceremony though, I noticed 2 industrial size gas furnaces at the back of the tent. A host also provided me a blanket to drape over my legs if I needed extra warmth. I thought this was a nice touch! When the people I was with and I moved into the tent for the reception, they had more blankets plus there were an additional 2 industrial sized heaters. I was surprised that I did not actually need a blanket during the reception despite the rain plus low hot plus cold temperatures outside. The industrial gas furnaces warmed the tent effectively.
