Cleaning the Air Filters Extra During Pandemic

So, I do not know anything about viruses and pandemics.

But there is one thing I do know about, and that is how to clean and stay clean.

One thing I have been working hard to do is make sure I clean the a/c air vents in the house. The air vents pick up all the debris that comes into and goes out of the house via the a/c ductwork. Related to that, I am making sure that I change the air filter regularly. In fact, I always make sure I do that like the air filter manufacturer recommends, but now I am replacing the air filter even more often. I figure the purpose of the air filter is to trap yucky stuff like dust, dirt, debris, and microscopic things such as viruses and germs. Well, why take any chances? The more I throw away the a/c filters, the more I throw away the germs that are in them, right? To me, this just makes good sense. If I am going to be in my house about eight hours a day more than I normally am, I might as well enjoy it being as fresh and clean as possible, right? Between bleaching my bathroom toilets and countertops and changing the air filters and scrubbing the air vents, I think I should be okay. In fact, now that I think about it, though, after this whole thing is over, I think I might call in the HVAC company to get my ductwork cleaned on a somewhat regular basis. Maybe twice a year would be a good idea.
