I often find weird and strange objects in the ductwork when I handle repairs or check-ups.
Some people never look inside of the ductwork the whole time they are living in a house.
It’s not unusual for a customer to contact the business when there is a problem with the ductwork. I have been in the business for several years. I am a Nate certified HVAC technician. I have several years of experience in different heating and cooling applications. I have seen a lot of strange and interesting things throughout my 10-year career. Recently I saw something that I probably won’t forget for a while. A customer contacted the repair center to schedule a tune-up on the air conditioner and the furnace. We have been running a special on ductwork cleaning and sanitizing. I offered the service to the customer and she agreed to have the work done. I was the technician that responded to the job. I recognized the name of the customer when I was on my way to the job site. I started working on the duct work cleaning while another technician handled the HVAC service tune up. I went into the attic to check on the ductwork. I used a special camera that can see inside of the ductwork. I noticed an object in the ductwork above the second master bedroom. I could not tell what the object was, but it was large in size. I showed the customer the pictures and she agreed to let me open up the ductwork to see what was going on.
