Part of me wants to travel somewhere for a while and get away from this small neighborhood where I’ve been living for the past three or so years.
I just took a trip to the States, however now that I am simply looking at the calendar it was already four months ago.
My mom seems so far away, and the dinners my friend and I used to have every week at her apartment seems like a lifetime ago. I just don’t fit in the American Dream anymore and when I go back I kind of feel out of locale there nowadays; but my local supplier buddy works so much that he hardly has a minute to see me when I go back, and laboring for him at his local company is about the only way I get to see him anymore, but this is the same story with almost all of my friends and the only people that are easy to visit are the retired folks like my parents and older friends. My mom was a residential heating company and she retired about ten years ago now and she consistently has time for me when I go home to visit. I just hope my stepdad lives a lot longer so my mom is not left alone with me being way over here doing my thing. I work for an HVAC company here part time while I chase my dreams of playing songs in a band. I also feel I will know the fate of our band in the next couple of years and that will give me a good sign of where I should actually be living.
