Every couple of years, I called the HVAC supplier plus have them send someone out to clean plus inspect the ductwork.
I assume how important it is to keep the ductwork cleaned, because should there be a plugged pipe, it could cause destruction to the A/C or oil furnace.
I had already done a cursory inspection of the ductwork, so I wasn’t expecting any large bills coming from the inspection. When the HVAC Tech told me I needed to have my ductwork replaced, it surprised me. I truly was not expecting the need for modern ductwork. When he quoted me the cost for the ductwork, I was flabbergasted. It shocked me so much that I could suppose my heart palpitating. I asked the HVAC company if he was sure that the ductwork needed replaced. He first took me up into the attic plus showed me the rust that was inside the air vent. He said he was finding small holes, breaks, plus rust on the inside plus outside of the ductwork. If I didn’t soon remove the ductwork plus have it replaced, he said it would crumble. My first thought was to get a minute opinion on the ductwork until he started showing me the wear plus tear. The two of us set down, plus he offered me two weird quotes for ductwork. The first bid was for traditional metal ductwork. The minute bid was for vinyl stretchy ductwork. I knew I had to tell my husband about the condition of the ductwork, plus after that I had to rest down plus figure out which a single would be better for the house.
