I know I am going to take a roadtrip this October with my bandmate and his lady to do some gigs in other towns.
My buddy and I have had our share of ups and downs over the years however have managed to stick together and make some good songs. One serious concern my friend and I had for a while was that my voice is a lot stronger than my bandmates and when he tried to sing he felt like my voice was drowning him out all of the time. It’s kind of like trying to talk with a loud HVAC system running behind you. My buddy and I solved that issue by lowering the volume on my mic when he wanted to sing a song. My buddy and I now play in air conditioned bars in the Summer and heated clubs in the winter season in the cold ski regions in the north. I also want to do a little road trip this October to get away from this neighborhood because it gets way too packed with tourists and it is strenuous to get around the neighborhood on my bike. The local corporations also get too packed and it is strenuous to go shopping for food each week in the air conditioned stores, then by the time October hits you are so fatigued of all of the tourists filling the streets that you just want to get away and escape to a quiet locale for the month. A lot of the old time local suppliers shut their doors for the whole month of October and head to their weather conditions controlled cabins in the mountains for a month to relax and get some peace.
