Mona showed up at my house last week, plus I was ready to call her an ambulance.
Her lips were pale pink, plus she couldn’t stop shivering.
When I provided her with a hug, Mona was so frigid that I got even more nervous. I sat her on the couch plus covered her with a blanket. Within minutes, Mona quit shaking plus was getting color back. I asked her why she was so cold, plus Mona told me her heating system broke a couple of afternoons ago. Mona couldn’t afford to have it fixed, plus she thought she could get by with a small space heater, however that wasn’t toiling. My next question was; why didn’t she call plus tell us she didn’t have a heater in the house? When Mona told me she didn’t want to bother us, I almost yelled at her. I was her daughter plus we talked every day. I couldn’t figure out why she hadn’t said something when I asked her if everything was okay? Mona could have told me the heating system was broken. My girlfriend and I had a spare home office where she could stay until the heating system was repaired. I was now feeling miserable enough that I was going to tell her I would go to the house plus pack her clothes, plus not give her any choice about whether she should stay with us, however before I could spout off, Mona asked if she could stay here with us until the heating system was repaired, or longer? Now I can talk to her about selling the old house plus moving in with us. I’m hoping that going without a heating system makes Mona realize she shouldn’t be living alone.
