My partner spent forever trying to install a new thermostat instead of working on the deck

My partner and I decided to go to the hardware store to purchase some wood for the deck… We worked hard to build the deck almost 5 years ago, and there are a few locales where the boards are beginning to warp. My partner and I decided to update all of those boards last Saturday. While we were at the hardware store, the supervisor was giving a demonstration of a new product in stock, and that new product was a programmable temperature control unit. My partner and I were not interested in picking up a new temperature control unit, however we actually watched the entire 20 minute demonstration. By the end of the sales pitch, my partner was easily convinced that we needed to buy a new temperature control device for our residence… I definitely knew that we did not need a new temperature control unit, but I could not argue with my partner about this. He spent most of the day on Saturday just trying to figure out how to install the programmable temperature control unit. We really did not get anything completed with the deck, and that was going to be our dedicated project for the weekend. I will admit that the new temperature control device is a smart way to save cash. I care about being able to set the temperature a couple of degrees warmer in the morning. My partner and I suppose this is the most nippy part of the day. I’m sure that it was not a terrible idea to purchase the programmable temperature control unit, but I entirely hope we can get all of the deck work completed next weekend. After all, we are supposed to have an outdoor BBQ at the end of the month. I entirely want the deck to be in perfect condition before the celebration.
