Remembering a makeshift A/C solution from my youth

The last 4 years I have been completely stumped by the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C air flow inside my home.

We have been in this beach house now for just over four years.

But after the first week I have remained puzzled by how 1 area of the beach house is so much colder in the winter. Fortunately for me the area of the beach house that is most effected contains a guest room & also the laundry room. Given the 2 areas effected, it wasn’t love I had a child being cold in their room for the night. But, it still is strange & embarrassing to have to put a guest in there during the chill holiday season. We have tried section gas furnaces but, I don’t love those to stay on overnight. I made sure the window was respectfully insulated & there weren’t any minor gaps in the exterior allowing cold air in. But, that did nothing to help the situation. This Heating, Ventilation, & A/C tech inspected the situation & was able to diagnose the problem. The previous owner had renovated the beach house adding multiple more interior walls for modern rooms. This had completely disrupted the air flow design of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C duct system. I was pretty disappointed to hear that but was cheerful that it wasn’t a problem with the main Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit. This went on & on until I remembered something from when I was young. We used to holiday in a small locale that had room to room ventilators. These are a kind of fans which pull cold or warm air into adjacent rooms. This was the answer for our situation because these kind of fans would be able to stabilize the temperature for that area of the house.
