My brother called me Last month and asked me if I would come over and look at his a/c unit.
If he was so desperate that he called me, I knew there was something seriously wrong with his a/c unit. When I got to his house, he took me out to the a/c unit. He said he had been trying to remove the air filter, but it was stuck. First thing he did was try to fault either his spouse or son for putting the air filter into the a/c the wrong way. That’s when I asked him how long it had been since they had changed the air filter. He said truly little, however he said had to change last year when he had the servicing done on the a/c unit. Since then, but, he had been hearing some odd noises coming from the AC unit, and the airflow was not as strong as it once was. It took me nearly half an hour to pull that air filter out of the AC unit. It was so clogged with dust that you couldn’t even blow through it. The a/c had to be struggling to run with this kind of air clogging. I showed the air filter to my brother and told him it had been at least numerous years since he changed that air filter. I asked him if he had genuinely had the servicing done on the AC unit, and he said he couldn’t afford to have it done last year. I just shook my head and reminded him I was an Heating and A/C professional. The only thing wrong with the a/c equipment was that it needed a new fan unit.
