I was over visiting my mom plus my dad last week, plus mom was in tears.
She told me that after almost 40 years of marriage she was getting nervous about dad’s health.
I asked what was going on? She told me that dad was looking for the climate control unit manual last week. Dad didn’t remember how to set the temperature, and dad was a retired HVAC contractor, so I knew that this was a bad sign of something seriously wrong with his mental health. I asked dad how he was doing, plus he said he was ready to go back to work. Dad thought he had been on a trip long enough, plus he was ready to go back to the HVAC contractor. I asked what HVAC contractor he intended to go back to. He just shook his head plus laughed. He told me he wanted to go back to his HVAC contractor. The HVAC contractor that he had owned since I was a little girl. I wasn’t sure if I should remind him he had already sold the HVAC contractor about ten years ago, but I didn’t need to. He plopped down at the table plus provided me an odd look. He told me he forgot he had already sold the HVAC contractor plus retired, plus then he asked what was happening. This was the day he forgot how to set the control unit, plus now he forgot that he sold his HVAC contractor. I told him I would make him a doctor’s appointment, but that I was sure with the right medication he could be his ancient self soon. I was hoping I was right.
