10 years ago, I learned about a different kind of air conditioning system called a mini split air conditioner.
It provides both Heating and Cooling oh, and it does so at a reasonable price.
Most mini split air conditioning systems are more efficient than your typical window air conditioner or even Central Heating and Cooling. My best friend has a mini split air conditioner in her house. The people who owned her house before, got that AC installed when they added a big room to the back of the house. They could not add that big room to their existing Central HVAC system because it was not large enough to handle it. Rather than get a new central heating and cooling system, they went with the mini split air conditioner. I think my friend is quite lucky, as I find the mini-split AC to be really enjoyable. First of all it’s extremely quiet. I cannot even tell whether it is on or off when I am at her house. I love things that are quiet. Noise pollution gets on my nerves and I like my home to be quiet. Second of all, it is extremely easy to install and maintain. I would venture to Guess that if you are a handy person you could install your own mini-split AC. I, personally, am not a handy person, however I have discovered that the installation of a mini split HVAC system is much less expensive and much faster than installing the typical central heating and cooling systems that we have around here.Finally, the mini split systems are energy efficient. That means less damage to the world and less damage to your pocketbook.
