I didn't know the electrician that passed away on Sunday

Every morning I get up and I make myself a cup of coffee and a couple of fried eggs. I have toast and orange juice with my breakfast as well. I sit at the kitchen table where I have great light and I can see the birds and animals in the backyard. I like to read the sports section of the paper first. After that, I moved to the news and then the lifestyle section. I was reading through the obituaries this week and there was a whole page ad for a local electrician. The electrician had been in the business for more than 50 years. The guy must have been very well known in the community, because someone paid for the full page ad in the newspaper to celebrate his death. The licensed and certified electrician had worked in the community for the past 50 years. The guy had a wife, eight kids, and 20 grandchildren that he left behind when he passed away. At the end of the obituary, there was some information to make donations to local charities in the name of the electrician and licensed contractor. One of those charities was the company that I work for. I thought it was strange that I didn’t know the name of the guy but he was using our charity for donations. Later that day I went into work and everyone was talking about the electrician. People generally had really nice things to say about the guy and I was feeling a little sad that I never got to meet him in person before he passed away suddenly.
