While there are a lot of good things that have come about with the improvements of technology, there are also precious things we have lost.
What about the interaction with strangers or even communicating with friends like how we did in the old days? With smartphones, a lot of people just dive into their phone and don’t bother to speak with the people around them, even if you are with all of your friends! While it was nice being able to talk to people you care about, now a lot of people love to just text and never get into an enjoyable conversation through verbal communication. Of course, there are a lot of wonderful things that have come to pass with technology. With the smartphones, we are able to adjust our temperature control settings in our homes with the greatest ease. You can save big money on your energy bills by programming your thermostats just right and this is a beautiful thing. Smart thermostats even learn our preferred temperature control settings so we don’t have to always worry about programming the thermostat or making crucial adjustments to be comfortable. I guess with the vast improvements in technology, some things will inevitably become outdated and then new conveniences will make life a lot easier for us. Of course whenever I go on family outings with family and even friends, I make sure that everybody puts their phones in a basket so that we all can have a wonderful conversation and enjoy one another instead of people being rude and ignoring everybody while getting into their phones!
