My Uncle Joe recently started up a commercial HVAC company here in town and he’s doing really well with it so far. He has always been interested in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry from as far back as I can remember. My Uncle Joe is just a few years older than I am, and so we basically grew up together. He was old enough that he was able to babysit me from time to time when he was a teenager, though. I remember when he was a teenager, he was constantly trying to learn all that he could about heating and air conditioning. I remember him taking apart an old central air conditioning unit at my house when he was babysitting me once. I thought that it was so weird that he was so interested in HVAC stuff, but I guess when you know what you like, you just know. Uncle Joe went to a local technical school right after he graduated from high school and he earned his HVAC certification shortly after that. Then he went to do an apprenticeship at one of the local heating and cooling companies here in town. After he finished with the HVAC apprenticeship, he worked at the same HVAC company for a couple of years before he decided that he was ready to go out and start another company on his own. He decided to specialize in commercial HVAC services and so that’s what he’s doing. His commercial HVAC company started up a few months ago and he’s doing really well so far!
