With the coming of spring, comes the cleanup from winter.
I enjoy getting outside and getting my home and yard ready for summer.
I wait impatiently until the time when I can get out the grill and put up the hammock. I would be eating my burger in the hammock and slowly going to sleep. Winter is harsh in our area. One of my biggest jobs is to clean the rubbish off the outside AC unit. We need to have it done so our HVAC technician can get our AC ready for the summer maintenance. This year, all I heard was a loud scream like that of a little girl. I realized it was coming from me. There was a large hold that led beneath the AC unit. I watched as he cleaned the leaves from around the AC unit, only to find a second hole. I thought it was a groundhog hole. Three skunks came out of the hole. I ran like I was being chased by a rabid dog. I didn’t want to go in the house, but I knew I had to get rid of the skunks. My wife was on the phone to animal control to have them come and take care of the skunks. I had stripped, dumped my clothes in the trash and I was running for the shower. I told my to call the HVAC company and have them come out and service the AC unit. I told her the AC unit would be safe to be around once animal control had the skunks trapped. The HVAC company wanted to send someone out to deodorize the AC unit before they could send an HVAC tech to the house.
