It’s been some time since we started asking our parents when were going to go for a new Heating plus A/C; I just told his that whenever the people I was with and I couldn’t afford to repair it anymore, the people I was with and I would go for a new Heating & A/C in the cabin. Well, the Heating & A/C continued to work as usual. It served us for close to two decades before it was no longer feasible to repair the system. The Heating & A/C technician admitted he was surprised because he thought that system would stop working a long time ago. However, our Heating & A/C system kept functioning. We were ecstatic when it died on us though because we wanted to have something much nicer all this time. We had an idea of what he wanted too. We told our parents about radiant floors and some cooling system that was highly energy efficient. Our parents ended up getting a boiler system installed that was hooked up to the pipes for radiant floors. They also had an electric heat pump added to cover our cooling needs in the Summer season. The heat pump also works as a back up for heating if we ever have any issues with our radiant floors. Our parents admit it’s nice to have several sources of heating, and that’s absolutely true. This is why we also have a fireplace in our living room, plus it’s a real wood burning fireplace. We’ve already spent so much time resting in front of the fireplace and our whole family enjoys it too. Our parents also love these new radiant floors, that was a nice call by us.
