The hotel room was cozy and comfortable but the room service was awful

To celebrate our one year anniversary, my wife and I decided to go to a brand new hotel downtown.

The place has had amazing reviews online and in the newspaper.

When I started to consider going to a hotel, I immediately thought about this particular place. I knew my wife would be excited to visit the new city landmark. The place has a pool on the rooftop. My wife and I didn’t swim in the pool, but we did take a walk to the roof so we could see the area. The pool is huge and deep, considering it’s on the rooftop of a hotel. I have no idea how they can accomplish that type of engineering. We had a couple of drinks at the pool bar and then we went back to our room. I turned down the AC before we went to see the rooftop bar. I wanted the room to be cold and comfortable when we came back. My wife loves the cold air. She gets miserable if the indoor temperatures are higher than 72. The AC was off when we entered the room and it was ice cold indoors. I suggested ordering room service and my wife thought that was a great idea. We ordered two steaks, lobster tails, baked potatoes, and chocolate lava cake for dessert. We sat at the table and relaxed by the AC until our food arrived. Unfortunately, it took nearly two hours to get our food and it was cold. The lobster was rubbery and the steak was way overcooked. I wanted medium rare, and it was well done. Some parts of the evening were certainly disappointing.
