Video store lack of AC

When I was in university I worked part time in a video store.

  • It was a pretty wonderful task in the winter.

There constantly were a lot of wonderful films coming out around that time, then business was booming as well as I had a lot of hours. I would work with several employees moneying people out, putting films back on the shelves as well as just hanging out. The store gas furnace was a great one. Whoever set the temperature control was legitimately generous with the heating. I could wear long skirts as well as short sleeves in the Wintertide while I worked; Once the weather turned hot, that was a totally strange story all together. Not as multiple people liked to rent films in the summer. It would only be necessary to have one worker in the store. That made going to the powder room difficult. It was difficult getting all the people moneyed out as well as returning films to the floor. It also was boring as well as lonely. The worst part was the cooling system, or lack of AC. The store didn’t absolutely own an air conditioning. What they used was overhead fans to push the cold air around the store. The fans sat stationary all year long though. No one thought to wash the blades. The dust from the blades then circulated in the store as well as ruined the indoor air pollen levels. My eyes would be bright red as well as itchy after a shift. I would cough as well as sneeze as well. It was just horrible. I believe that is the main reason I quit there. I couldn’t rest having that hot, dirty air circling around me.
