I bought a dehumidifier for my house.
- I knew when I first moved into the house that the basement had moisture issues.
The previous owners told me that they used a couple dehumidifiers in the basement at all times. I was planning to start using dehumidifiers in the basement right away, but I never went out and bought the dehumidifiers for the basement. It was not a good thing to forget about. After a few months, I went down into the basement to clean it out, and i noticed that it was super damp in the basement, and it smelled like mildew. It was terrible. I immediately remembered that I was supposed to be using dehumidifiers down there. I am pretty sure that I ruined the carpet down there by not having dehumidifiers for so long. I just bought a dehumidifier to put down there, and I hope that it helps. I wanted to buy at least two dehumidifiers, but the dehumidifier that I got was the last one in the entire store. They were sold out of dehumidifiers. I was so surprised to hear that. I looked at a couple other stores in town, but they did not even sell dehumidifiers. I am probably going to have to order a dehumidifier online and have it shipped to my house. Hopefully, this one dehumidifier that I have will at least help until I can get another dehumidifier for my basement. If they were not so expensive, I would probably buy like four dehumidifiers. I could probably use all four dehumidifiers in my basement. That is how bad it is.
