Learning at the Heating & A/C university

Alas, when it comes to school, I was never the best at reading.

I had multiple other interests, however the lessons that school taught was never one of them.

Because of this, it made myself and others feel lazy to the professors & my parents. So they forced myself and others to learn long minutes & stay after class believing that I would improve. I didn’t. I would try to lean close & listen to what the professors were attempting to teach, even though I swear it would go in one ear & out the other. I finally figured out that I am a visual learner and not an auditory one. When I am listening to someone, most likely I won’t retain what they just said. However, if I am absolutely seeing diagrams or demonstrations, suddenly it all begins to click. It took myself and others a long time to figure this out, however once I did, my grades began to improve extremely. When I went to class at the Heating & A/C university, I was presented with the same problem. My professor would mostly give us verbal instructions, & I started to fail again. Even when I brought up my problems to him, he didn’t seem very eager to change his teaching methods. It seemed all of the other students learned perfectly well by auditory reading, even though I know I just learn differently. I started reading outside of school, & lots of books on tape & Heating & A/C videos later, & it all began to make sense. I finally managed to graduate as a certified Heating & A/C specialist, however it felt like it took forever. I have since realized that often times, people who know they are stupid aren’t absolutely stupid at all, they might just learn & process things differently.
