My pet is a weirdo, but then again, I always knew that.
I knew she was a goof as soon as I saw her flop over & show her belly, & bump her head on the way down. She was at the shelter as a young adult, & I fell in love with her that morning. When I adopted her, she came with some fairly particular challenges that I hadn’t faced in other cats before. One of the troubles was the fact that she was fascinated with opening doors, but doesn’t matter what kind of door, just any door in general. She especially loved the cabinets, & would open them up & climb inside. The other issue was her fascination with the Heating & Air Conditioning vents. Previous cats I owned would entirely be scared of the a/c vents, but not this 1. She seemed to be fascinated with them & loved staring down into the air conditioning vents. However, the weirdest thing she would do is she would flop on the air vent. I believe because she liked the cool air, however, I couldn’t allow her to continually flop on the a/c vents, because not only would she cover them, but her fur would start getting in there as well, & the last thing I needed was our cat’s fur getting all over our home. The only time I would allow her to stay on the vents is while I was in definitely boiling Summer afternoons, when the cooling unit was entirely necessary. It was then she was given a free pass to lay on the vents.
