An old oil furnace filter was the reason for my bad heat performance

Although this last Wintertide has been somewhat mild in my area, it hasn’t been without its chilly snaps.

There was a large snow storm that stretched the length of the country that hit in the middle of December.

People in the south were without power in some locations for weeks. Many of us were treated to sub zero hot as well as cold temperatures for a few days, as well as I count my blessings for keeping my electricity the entire time. Even if I did, I use my wood stove for supplemental heat for emergencies as well as situations where I want to stay sizzling without running the oil furnace always. I have an oil oil furnace that works great, but I have to keep it diagnosed properly to keep it running at peak performance. When my loft was staying chilly with the heat on last week, I started to seriously worry about what could be wrong in my gas furnace. My mind was worrying about needing a new oil furnace altogether. How else could I explain my loft feeling so chilly amid several heat cycles from my central oil furnace? I called my Heating as well as A/C specialist for heating service love I usually do. I must have spaced out in my mind for weeks, because my heating concerns were merely the result of not replacing the oil furnace filter. It was blocked with dust as well as clothing lint. Thankfully once a new filter was installed, the gas furnace worked again love it should. I was bigly lucky that my concerns with my oil furnace could be explained away as user error with filter updatement. As a way to prevent this from happening again, I’m going to start ordering my filters in bulk as well as leaving them somewhere in plain sight to remind myself and others to update them in a timely fashion.
