A lot of people might be upset if they went to a hotel and have a very loud HVAC unit, but my wife and I were very happy when the circumstance occurred over the weekend.
- We took our kids to an amusement park on Saturday.
We were planning to leave around 5, so we could drive back home on the same day. We were having a great time and so we’re the kids, so we decided to stay until the park closed at 9. I was tired and so was my wife, so we decided to find a hotel room close to the interstate. We didn’t have time to look at a lot of reviews and customer comments, but we picked a national chain hotel. We expected good service and a clean room. The rates were reasonable considering the fact that we were only a few miles away from the amusement park. As soon as we got settled into our room, the noise on the other side of the wall began. Clearly two people were having a lot of fun next door and I didn’t want my five and six year old to listen to the sound. I turned down the fan on the AC so the machine would run constantly. When I turned on the AC fan, the noise started. It was loud and it rumbled, and I would have probably considered complaining any other time, but it drowned out the screaming and moaning sounds coming from the room next to ours. We let the AC run on the fan mode all night long. It was cold in the room, but we slept well.
